And not just our millions of users. The judging panel of the European Tech Tour’s (ETT) Web & Mobility Summit 2009 recently honored the 25 best and most innovative European Start-Ups and guess who is one of the prize winners!? Exactly, Qeep!

Chosen from over 400 different start-up companies, we were one of the 25 invited to the Web & Mobility Summit in Switzerland. Cornelius Rost (one of the qeep founders) headed down to Switzerland to present qeep and returned to the office with a cool award in hand. Although we work hard over here at the qeep headquarters, we couldn’t be successful without YOU! Thank you.

Like you can imagine, our team is thrilled about winning this prize, but don’t think we will rest on our success now! We will do everything possible to live up to this honor and move forward with the goal to continue convincing the strictest and most important judges of all: You, our Qeepers.

It’s been more than a month since you’ve last heard from us, but don’t think we’ve just been lazing around the whole time twiddling our thumbs. We have been working really hard on qeep and now we’re able to tell you about 2 new features in the latest update of qeep (1.97):

Surf while you wait:

Let’s be honest, nobody likes to wait. Or maybe you do… well, we don’t and that’s why waiting on a random opponent for a game has always bugged us. So now that has changed! To sweeten up the waiting time, we’ve integrated a new function which allows you to keep on surfing qeep while waiting for an opponent. But don’t worry about watching the time; as soon as an opponent has been found, you are taken back to the game which will start automatically. So it turns out waiting can be fun, afterall. To take advantage of this feature, make sure to update your version of qeep on your mobile phone. You’ll find a link in the games section.

Paypal

Our second new feature is not supposed to sweeten up the waiting time, but the actual game itself. In other words: the cash games. So far it’s been a privilege of the credit card owners on qeep to play for cash prizes, buy q-points to send cool gifts or bid for a place in the hotlist. But thanks to our friends at Paypal, now everyone can do this. All you need is a paypal-account and a computer. Just visit www.qeep.net, click on “MY QEEP” and follow the instructions.

If those aren’t cool feature, we don’t know what is. We try not to exaggerate when promising cool new functions. Speaking of, check back soon cause it just so happens the next qeep feature is coming up at the end of December and it’s much bigger than this.
