QEEP TV: Elphaba Footage

A couple of weeks back, we promised footage of Qeeper Elphaba talking about qeep on TV.

That wait is over! Just click the link to see Elphaba in action:

Elphaba on Giga TV

…What’s that? You can’t understand it?

Ah. Yes, well, the program is in German. For those of you who don’t, um, speak German, I assure you, it’s an awesome interview. Some highlights:

-About 45 seconds in, Elphaba calls qeep “the whole world in your pocket.” I’m going to have to remember to steal that line.

-At 3 minutes, the hostess asks Elphaba if she uses qeep to flirt. Elphaba admits she’s gotten a lot of Friend Invites, but she already has a boyfriend. I thought it was unfair of her to not bring that up right away. She let me get my hopes up.

-At about five minutes they start talking about Sound Attacks. Afer Elphaba explains what Sound Attacks are, there’s a great moment at 5:35 when the moderator makes what can only be called “squishy face.” Guess she’s more of a photoblog person.

Great job, Elphaba! Everyone at qeep HQ is really proud of you!

And if you ever want to play “Battleships” with me, I’ll be waiting ;-) .

We Want MOSH on our Buddy List

June 11, 2008

In case you haven’t noticed, we make a big deal about friendship around here. Just as the friends we make on qeep enrich our personal lives, our business partners here at qeep HQ benefit the entire qeep community.

That’s why we’re proud to be friends with the folks over at Nokia MOSH. Qeep is a pioneer in MOSH’s new “Spotlight” program, which recommends our network as a valuable mobile resource. That’s a compliment to you guys as much as us.

Since joining the Spotlight program, we’ve seen qeep’s registration rate at MOSH nearly double. That means more people on the network for you and I to meet. About time, too. I’m running out of newbies to beat at Battleships.

Gearing Up for Euro 2008

We’re big football fans here at qeep HQ… or my colleagues are, anyway.  Where I come from, we call it “soccer.”  I’ve been kind of confused by all this talk about the European Football Championship.  If it’s called Euro 2008, how come Lichtenstein doesn’t get to play?  And why didn’t anybody tell me that until after I bet on them?

If you’re a football fan, the next few weeks are probably going to be pretty exciting.  Who are you rooting for?  Are you going to the games?  Will you be watching with friends?  If so, we’d love to see a photoblog of you all together, wearing your team colors.

And if you think you know who’s actually going to win, I’d love to hear about it.  Something tells me the Lichtensteiners are not going to come through for me.

Oh, well, there’s always next year.  …They do have this thing every year, right?

QEEP Hits Prime Time

Author: Greg

June 4, 2008

See, this is why I don’t take vacations.

I leave the office for a short (working) holiday, and what happens? Some lucky Qeeper decides that now is the perfect time to go on television!

Qeep has already made TV appearances in Europe. If you’re a fan of ViVa, you might have seen the spot our friends over at Mobidoo put together for us.

This time, though, we were caught completely by suprise. Last Tuesday, on Germany’s GIGA TV, a Qeeper appeared on the program “Spam Delux.” How come nobody gave us a heads-up?

The Qeeper in question is from Berlin and goes by the nickname of “Elphaba.” She’s been qeeping since December 2007, and she says that using qeep is like “having the world in the pocket of your pants.”

…It sounds better in the original German, I promise.

Besides qeep’s in-your-pants mobility, Elphaba also enjoys Sound Attacks, piña coladas, and getting caught in the rain. She did a great job of representing the whole qeep community, and we’re really proud of her.

Check back soon for footage of Elphaba!

And as always, qeep it real.
